Gala for New Galleries at RISD Museum
Tonight is the gala opening event for eight newly refurbished galleries at the Rhode Island School of Design Museum. SmallCorp is proud to have been included in this important project, in collaboration with Stephen Saitas Designs and the incredible team of people at RISD.
The renovation of the sixth floor marks the last phase of a seven-year project that transformed the Museum’s central building, one of five interconnected structures, and re-imagined the visitor experience of its internationally acclaimed collection of works of art and design.
We manufactured and installed wall-mounted and freestanding microclimate cases, as well as three very large walk-in glass cases to house costumes and textiles and the museum’s exceptional Japanese bridal palanquin.
